City cycling 2024 - IfADo cycles almost 3000 km

IfADo researchers once again took part in city cycling in 2024. The aim of the campaign is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible within 21 days. The idea is to draw attention to the need for cycling infrastructure in the areas used, but also to the CO2 savings that can be achieved by leaving the car at home and getting on a bike instead.

The IfADo team cycled 2,906 kilometers this year, saving 482.4 kilograms of CO2. In total, the 484 Dortmund teams have avoided 192 tons of CO2 emissions by cycling more than 1.15 million kilometers.
