Scientific Assistance of the Board / Co-ordinator for research affairs
Dr. rer. nat. Birgit Arnold-Schulz-Gahmen
Scientific assistance and research coordination of IfADo includes both organisational assistance for the institute’s directorate as well as a coordinating office for the scientific and research policy contents of the institute. In this function, research planning and committee work is editorially supervised.

Press office

The press office is responsible for press and public relations work of IfADo and thus forms an interface between research, media and the public. The press officers are first contact persons for press representatives, are responsible for external presentations of IfADo and ensure a dialogue between public and science with the aim of informing about research results of the institute.

Research Data Management Organisational Unit
Dipl.-Math. Peter Bröde
The Research Data Management organisational unit performs technical, organisational-administrative and consultancy-related tasks in connection with the development and maintenance of infrastructures and procedures for managing research data at IfADo. It ensures data acquisition and storage and regulates the access and use of the data. The work of the Research Data Management organisational unit is subject to a data management policy adopted by the Board of Directors, which regulates the implementation and safeguarding of data management. This organisational unit includes one representative each from the four scientific departments.

 EU affairs officer
Dipl.-Math. Peter Bröde
The EU affairs officer advises the scientific staff on applying for EU projects. He acts as a coordinator between the scientific leaders of the approved projects and the administration of IfADo.

Transfer Officer
Dr. rer. nat. Dietmar Gude
In terms of both technology and content, the transfer officer supervises the transfer concept of IfADo with the aim of making research achievements and competencies comprehensively accessible to the general public. This includes the dissemination and exploitation of innovative technologies and scientific findings from labour research. He is also entrusted with the protection of the research results of IfADo and their commercial exploitation.

Cooperation with Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft (GfA)
From 1985 to 2021, the IfADo was for many years the headquarters of the Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaften – GfA (Society for Labour Sciences) and subsequently carried out the management [Executive Board members: Prof. em. Dr. Andreas Seeber, Prof. Dr. Martin Schütte, PD Dr.-Ing. Matthias Jäger].
