About us

IfADo looks at the fundamentals of physical and mental processes – especially the liver, the brain, the immune system as well as the musculoskeletal and sensory system. On the other hand, IfADo investigates connections in the world of work. The over-arching goal of IfADo is to enhance well-being and promote increased productivity of employees in the modern workspace by investigating the challenges and risks inherent to the working environment, and individual preconditions, through an interdisciplinary approach.

Digitisation of work

Research approach: Challenges of modern work

Working environments are constantly changing regarding industrialisation, automation and digitalisation whereas human physiology remains relatively static. This creates a friction between work and individuals which requires new and adequate responses and solutions. The over-arching goal of IfADo is to enhance well-being and promote increased productivity of employees in the modern workspace.

Research and practice: From the laboratory to the world of work

Based on a broad scientific foundation, IfADo develops explanations and solutions in the following fields, for example:

  • Combating burnout
  • Preventing the age-related decline in performance
  • Recognising and avoiding toxic risks
  • Modulation and regulation of the immune system
  • Analysis of neurological basics
  • Avoiding musculoskeletal damage
  • Optimisation of human-machine interfaces
