The 13th ICME International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering will take place in Dortmund, on September 23-25, 2019. The objective of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers, educators, engineers, neurologists, medical staff and government officials involved in the general areas of biomedical engineering to disseminate their latest research results and exchange views on future research directions of these fields.
The Institute of Complex Medical Engineering (ICME) is an international nonprofit organization established in 2005 in Takamatsu, Japan. It is dedicated to foster development of medical diagnoses and therapies, to improve reliability, safety, flexibility and expandability of theory and practice of medicine to support healthy lives of people worldwide. This requires interdisciplinary efforts of engineers, medical doctors, rehabilitation specialists, neuroscientists, and other specialities. Prof. Michael Nitsche, head of the department „Psychology and Neurosciences“ at Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors (IfADo), will act as General Chair of the 2019 event.
