As a result of the current EU regulation, airports and airlines have particularly to ensure a barrier-free access for passengers with reduced mobility from the arrival at the airport to reaching the aircraft seat. Aboard, for example, the passengers needing support are currently lifted and positioned manually in a specific onboard wheelchair. It is planned to derive in laboratory examinations, which movements may be useful and, analoguously to healthcare work, which friction-reducing aids can be utilized or should be developed to design those crew’s support activities ergonomically.
