From February 23 to 26, the researchers were able to attend key note lectures, symposia and workshops at the conference and also had the opportunity to present their latest research findings. IfADo scientist Marie Beaupain presented a poster on how dopamine modulates the neuroplasticity of a healthy brain. In addition to Marie Baupain, other scientists from the research groups Neuromodulation and Neuroimaging and Interindividual Differences also presented their current research findings. These included Yiwu Xiong, Emilio Chiappini, Lorena de Melo, Sumit Roy, Elham Ghanavati, Kuri Takahashi, Ali Salehinejad and Fatemeh Yavari. The latter gave a presentation on behalf of Michael Nitsche on the topic: “Using tDCS to investigate fear extinction in a large population of healthy volunteers”.

Organized by the scientific publisher and data analysis company Elsevier, the conference takes place every two years and is considered one of the most important conferences in the field. Other topics at the conference included research into the brain-computer interface, the combination of brain stimulation methods with brain imaging and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS).
