Last Tuesday, Amba Frese and Hannah Schade took part in the Bochum Science Slam. The two IfADo researchers from the Department of Neuroscience & Psychology were able to inspire the audience with two interesting presentations.
Amba Frese spoke on the topic of “Neurostimulation, nicotine and curiosity” about the effect of direct current stimulation, which areas of the brain it is applied to and how it can help with learning. She also talked about the effect of nicotine on direct current stimulation. Hannah Schade aroused the audience's curiosity with her presentation entitled “Gandalf against burnout: the sword of work-life balance”. She vividly underlined how important breaks are in everyday working life. A total of around 700 people attended the event at the Bochum Schauspielhaus.
