City cycling 2025 - IfADo cycles over 2,000 km

Researchers from IfADo once again took part in city cycling in 2025. The aim of the campaign is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike within 21 days. On the one hand, this is intended to draw attention to the necessary cycling infrastructure in the areas used, but also to the CO2 savings that can be achieved by leaving the car behind and getting on a bike instead.

The IfADo team cycled 2,167 kilometers this year, saving 355 kilograms of CO2. In total, the 387 Dortmund teams have avoided 232 tons of CO2 by cycling more than 1.41 million kilometers.
