SOPRANO is excited to announce its Open Call opportunity, inviting robotics SMEs and Startups across Europe to apply for financial support and expert guidance for innovative demonstrators. The initiative offers up to €200,000 per project, with tailored funding of up to 70% for SMEs (maximum €140,000) and 100% for Startups (up to €200,000). The Open Call is accepting applications until 20 May 2025 (17:00 CEST).

Selected applicants will participate in a comprehensive 16-month programme, running from mid-July 2025 to mid-November 2026, designed to support every phase of innovation:

Design: Define your Multi-Human Multi-Robot application scenarios, use cases, and success metrics.

Implement: Integrate SOPRANO’s advanced technologies with your existing systems and develop an industry-relevant prototype.

Validate & Exploit: Test your solution in real-world scenarios, gather industry-grade validation, and prepare an exploitation plan to maximize market impact.

Applicants must be robotic equipment vendors, systems developers, systems integrators, or industrial robotic application providers. Eligible entities include single SMEs or Startups, or consortia of up to three companies established at least one year before the application deadline in Horizon Europe participating countries.

“We are delighted to open this opportunity for innovative robotics companies,” said Scott Hansen the SOPRANO dissemination leader from The Open Group. “The SOPRANO Open Call is more than just funding—it’s a strategic support system that combines access to beyond the state-of-art robotics technologies, financial backing with technical expertise and validation to drive breakthrough advancements in robotics applications.”
