Tasks of the central unit 'academic library/publications' are the overall
organization of the IfADo-library, to conduct
literature researches with databases, to appropriate electronic media as well
as technical aid by preparing scientific publications, research concepts,
periodic reporting and documentations. Since 2007, the library is in charge
of the technical editorial (http://www.excli.de)
from the open access "EXCLI Journal" (Experimental and Clinical
Sciences; International Online Journal for Advances in Science; Editorial
Board: Prof. Hengstler et al.).
CU Information Systems
Tasks of the central unit 'information systems' are the appropriation of technologies
for transfer of information and communication with respect to facilitate (electronic)
information deliverables and performances of the institute (e.g. to convert,
to back up, to find again and exchange data and information). The service
will be offered to the research groups, administration and other central units
and comprises operating safeguarding, maintenance, care, enhancement and further
development of the central infrastructure as well as advice and instruction
for the use of these technologies.
Machine Shop
The IfADo-machine shop prepares and produces
special (not commercially available) apparatuses and tools which are needed
for conducting experiments in the research groups. Additionally precision
mechanics are practically educated in this unit.
Business Management / Administration
The business management works by order of the joint board of the IfADo
supporting scienctific organisation (Forschungsgesellschaft für Arbeitsphysiologie
und Arbeitsschutz e. V., Dortmund). It conducts leading of the administration
for affairs in the fields of personal management, bookkeeping, purchasing
and building services. Additionally clerks are practically educated in administration
affairs.
The IfADo-canteen delivers from Monday to Friday
varied high-quality food. Members of the institute and visitors can choose
between diverse menus, special offers at the salad bar or other culinary specialities.
