"Sensory and cognitive functions"
The research on sensory functions is focused on auditory perception, e.g. what brain mediate hearing of stationary and moving sounds in space, and to what extent the eyes participate in spatial hearing. In this area several neuphysiological methods are used, namely event-related potentials (ERP), transcranial magnetic and direct currect stimulation (TMS and TDCS), as well as fMRT (in cooperation with the university of Tübingen. In the cognitive domain we investigate predominantly the so-called executive control functions with ERP methodology, focusing on response inhibition, task switching and error processing.
