"Applied ageing research"
One question addressed in this field is to which extent the variance in cognitive competence of elderly workers can be explained by work- and lifestyle factors. A further issue whether age-related changes in cognitive control functions allow a prediction of driving ability in elderly. Also the impact of driver assistant systems on elderly drivers is analyzed. Finally the influence of different interventions (such as brain jogging or a specific driving training) on cognitive functioning in elderly is investigated. Behavioral as well as psychophysiological measures (ERPs) are used for the evaluation of the utility of the interventions.
