The project groups of the IfADo are interlinked in many ways. This cooperation between certain groups concerns methodical exchange and amendments as well as an intense exchange of scientific contents. There are also certain practical problems which are handled in three or more project groups. To integrate the facets of these cross-sectional topics the IfADo established research initiatives. Their central task is to establish communication and co-ordination between the participating work groups and to offer a scientific platform for the exchange of ideas and proposals.
The following cross-section topics within the research initiatives are organised for the period of 2008-2010:
Elderly workers
