international jury of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA)
and the International Journal of Occupational Safety and Ergonomics
(JOSE) announced that the authors K. Kuklane, C. Gao, I. Holmér, L. Giedraityte,
P. Bröde (IfADo), V. Candas,
E. den Hartog, H. Meinander. M. Richards and G. Havenith of the paper "Calculation
of clothing insulation by serial and parallel methods: effects on clothing choice
by IREQ and thermal responses in the cold. Int J Occup Saf Ergon 13: 103-116
(2007)" have received the IEA/JOSE Best Paper Award for 2006-2008. The
diploma will be presented at the 17th World Congress on Ergonomics, IEA 2009,
in Beijing, China, August 9-14, 2009.
Peter Bröde is coworker in the research group "Physical Environment" and a specialist for statistical-mathematical effect modelling of physiological strain by heat radiation and moisture while wearing protective clothing.
